Add a SummaryA very good Alex Cross story by Patterson in which he where the president's children have been kidnapped from a private school. He is originally kept out of the investigation, but is then brought in to help the FBI and the story weaves around from there. An interesting sub-plot having to do with Middle Eastern terrorists leads to some mis-direction in the story. I know that the next book in the Alex Cross series will be a continuation? from this one because there is one unresolved part that has been set up by the ending of this book. A good, fast read.

Add a CommentAnother typical Alex Cross story. But I was disappointed, found this one to be bland and predictable.
Okay but not very good as story has too many holes and improbable unexplained turns of events. Somewhat rehashed "Along came a spider" but less believable plot with a bit of modern day terrorism thrown in....we need fresh blood to replace these aging writers with old themes and may be ghost writers.
Read in Series format, Alex Cross series
I found this latest Alex Cross book to be unexciting and bland and disappointing when compared to earlier Alex Cross books. Perhaps the author needs to take a break.
Not as good as I had expected but it was still a good read.
Great read as always Patterson hits another one out of the park with Det. Cross.
Well written and good to catch up with Alex Cross again!
Not one of my favourite Alex Cross novels. Not very engaging as a story - was expecting a lot more.
The President's son and daughter are abducted, and Detective Alex Cross is one of the first on the scene. But someone very high-up is using the FBI, Secret Service, and CIA to keep him off the case and in the dark. A deadly contagion in the water supply cripples half of the capital, and Alex discovers that someone may be about to unleash the most devastating attack the United States has ever experienced.
A continuation of the Alex Cross saga and this one gets going with a bang and had me wanting more. Leaves room for the next installment or for a later book. a need to read for Alex Cross followers
