I gave up on this book after 85 pages. Poor Jenny goes to college in space, only to be hounded by her helicopter parents, celebrity TV news, and enough critters to cause me claustrophobia.

I put off reading this at first, because neither the cover art or the title really grabbed me. Once I started it, I was hooked! It has a bit of a YA feel, with a young girl going off to college. The book has nice details, like the tax system that is entirely gambling based (the government takes the house share). It was a lot harder SF than I expected from the cover, and I really enjoyed it! Give it a try; this book is a hidden gem.
