I've read many, many books where dragons are part of the character line-up, including all of the Dragonlance books, and this book was an eye-opener for me. Very interesting perspective, seeing events unfold from the dragon's point of view. I enjoyed this book so much, I continued on to books two, three and four. Book five, here I come. Well done E.E.Knight.

A interesting perspective on haveing the main character as a dragon than a human hero. We follow him through this world as he tries to survive atempts by the cretures of this world to either enslave or kill him.

I love reading about dragons, so I forgave the flaws in this series (many of them are editorial sloppiness actually) for the novelty of having a tale with such a "dragoncentric" view. Dragon characters are well drawn, and the whole series is from their p.o.v. Quite an original series.

A little different from most stories about dragons.
The hero of this story is a young dragon named AuRon.
