Penny Vincenzi, with over one million copies sold and fifteen bestsellers, queen of the riveting family drama, delivers her most deliciously page-turning saga yet in this novel of intrigue, sure to please her legions of fans. "Satisfaction guaranteed" says "The Washington Post." The night before her lavish wedding, Cressida Forrest went to bed serene and happy. By morning she had vanished--without apparent cause, and without a trace. Shocked, anxious, and uncomprehending, the two families face a long day of revelations, as a complex, fragile web of sexual, marital, and financial secrets is ripped apart by Cressida's disappearance.

I bought this book to read on the beach while on vacation. The book had a really slow start in my opinion and I actually considered quitting it but pushed on and then about 100 pages in I got more into it. As the book went on, there were some secrets revealed like affairs, unlikely people being lovers, pregnancies, serious illness, etc. So now that I am into it and getting close to the end, I am wanting answers and then I am like 3 pages till the end and still don't have my answers. I reach the end and STILL don't have any answers. The ending is completely vague and leaves you wanting more. For that reason alone, the book totally annoyed me and I have no desire to read any more of Penny Vincenzi books.
