Add a SummaryIn the wake of Gemma`s disapearence. Harper takes to reading books about Sirens hoping to find a clue to were they may have gone. Along with the help of Daniel. Meanwhile Gemma is trying to stay away from the water and the other sirens. Until eventually she begins to lose hair (because of the lack of swimming). Eventually she gives in and goes swimming. Then she goes into town to get away from the other Sirens and ends up killing a rapist named Jason. Thea tells her that she only needs to eat 4 times a year and that the victims don`t even realise because they purr when they eat them and they just don`t realise. Then when the killing gets in the papers, Harper gets the clue and along with Daniel and Alex, they head for gemma (a 10 hour drive that turns into 12). They are able to get Gemma and bring her back. But soon the Sirens come after them. But they do no harm because Gemma tells them that Alex does love her and then she proves it by singing ``Alex Tell me the truth. Do you love me?``. He answers Yes. Thea believes it saying what if they did have something about the curse wrong! They agree to give Gemma time to see if there is a way to break the curse. But then later Penn tells Lexi they should start to look for someone to replace Gemma.

Add a Commenta very good sequel to wake. i liked the 3rd book too. although i found the 4th book too long and expectable
“Lullaby”, Book #2 of the “Watersong” series, written by Amanda Hocking, continues “Gemma’s” story of choosing between her personal and siren life. After being forcefully turned into a siren in the previous book in this series, Gemma is trying to adjust to her new life but is unable to fully detach herself from her personal life which is necessary for being a siren. Although none of us are sirens, we all can still relate to “Gemma” because we all have faced times when we need to choose between two important parts of our life, (personal and professional, etc.). This book involves so much suspense and mystery and is incredibly hard to put down. After reading two other series also written by Amanda Hocking, I have observed that she has a very unique writing style because she can take a simple story and make it sound so interesting, and I admire her for that. This story does get a little bit violent and intense at some points, but if you are someone who can handle things like that then I would definitely recommend this book to you! I give this book a 4 out of 5.

Aaaand the book just keeps stretching. Sure, there were somewhat interesting parts, but the attitude of the other two sirens to Gemma really made a lot uncomfortable. Meanwhile, Harper (the sister) is fretting about her and is doing her best to fight against the odds, but the author just didn't hook that quite right. The fierce fighting between the new siren and her longings are driving her a bit mad, when will she succumb to them as she will eventually? I feel that this book's good aspects and bad aspects pull it evenly so it lands somewhere in my middle category of "not good, but not that bad". 3/5 stars

When I got the page 149 was ripped. Other than that the book was good.
I love this book, it has a great setting. The small beach front town.
The series is great, but I didn't enjoy the switching of POV's. It was confusing, I enjoy POV styled books but not TOO much.
Honestly, I liked this book way better than the first one, even if it didn't have as much stuff happen.
This was not my favorite in the series. It certainly assisted in moving the story along, but rather needs a better ending.
love this book along with the first. cant wait for Tidal to come out!!!
A slightly frustrating ending, but since it is only the second book in the series, I have hope that it will come to a better end with more explanation. Looking forward to see how the characters lives play out.
Loved the second book as much as the first. cant wait for the third!
