Loved this! Besides the satisfying romance and a kick-ass heroine, there is action, action, action. An easy book to zip right through, and then on to the equally exciting sequel!

Really good book. The author takes a twist on the usual zombie genre and replaced it with people who are called reboots and the longer you stay dead the stronger, faster less emotional you become. Great read overall.

Read book already, and tots about to do it again. One of the best books out there. Y'all need to read it. I'm waiting for the sequel.

We have an inventive take on zombies here. There's a virus that has devastated the US if not the whole world and a side effect is people who die have a tendency to come back to life but as a more attractive, less human version of themselves. The longer they were dead, the less human they are. Our main character, Wren, was dead for nearly three hours before she rose. The Reboots become property of a vaguely menacing government agency and basically are foot soldier for their bidding. Wren, in five years as a Reboot, has never questioned her place in this order until she takes on a new Reboot named Callum who had been dead for all of twenty two minutes and is the most human out of them all.

There's a lot of telling here rather than showing, especially with Wren's feelings. You get a lot of 'the lady doth protest too much' sort of feelings from it but that's intention here. The love story is obvious from the word go but the book is gripping. I did like how Wren's thought process just derails and she just does what she does to keep Callum drawing breath. That seemed more truthful to me than the constant reiteration that she doesn't have feelings when we all know that that's not precisely the case.

It's interesting though, if your dystopia hankering is still going strong give this one a read.

Amazing!!! Wren and Callum are awesome characters and the way they are written is believable. The concept of the book is fascinating and is described very well. There is romance but it isn't overpowering. Wren isn't supposed to have any feeling. I liked how the author explained Wren's process as she developed her feelings. I hope the next book is even better than Reboot!!

Fast-paced action with just the right amount of romance. I felt like it was mostly meant to set the scene for the rest of the series, but it was well-written and the pacing was good so I didn't mind too much.

I think this is a fresh spin on the dystopian genre. The love story was well put together and I really connected with the character, even if she "didn't have any feelings". I'm really looking forward to the next one!
