In this thrilling fourth season based on George R.R. Martin's bestselling books, the Lannisters' control over the Iron Throne remains intact, but can they survive their own egos as well as the ongoing threats around them? While an unshaken Stannis Baratheon continues to rebuild his army on Dragonstone, a more immediate danger comes from the south, as Oberyn Martell, the Lannister-loathing 'Red Viper of Dorne,' arrives at King's Landing to attend Joffrey's wedding.

I carefully put painters tape and problems next to the disc. As torture scenes and weddi ng slaughter scenes watched over and over causes them to be unwatchable BUT I get the feeling its ignored when i HAND them over.... just take it off and put out again. Its infuriating!

Merveilleuse série qui s'écoute trop rapidement. J'ai hate à la suite...

I agree with lmm789 - you guys should figure out a better solution for DVD sets. Once the center plastic piece breaks - and they break easily - then you have 1 disc bouncing around getting scratched to hell as they are transported around and dropped in bins.

This season does not disappoint, and I am looking forward to Season 5. As in the past, be prepared to see some key characters killed off. Great setting and CGI effect, befitting of a fantasy series.

Disc one of c. 47 is badly scratched - great swaths of key events are unwatchable. Grrrr.

Season Four was a bit disappointing. Couple of exciting moments but mostly plodding along. Did enjoy Mountain and Arya. Hodor is always a favorite.

If for the last ten years we've been enjoying a second "Golden Age" of television, my money for the current reigning champion is GAME OF THRONES. Having said that, I did notice a bit of a drop off with season four.
