If the Jacoby family learns she is still alive, they'll stop at nothing to silence her.If justice is to be done, and if Shannon's life is ever to get on track again, Matthew will need to discover exactly what happened to her--even if it means stirring up a hornet's nest of secrets."--

Dee Henderson has been a favorite author of mine for years. The O'Malley Series is one of my all time re-reads, as is Taken. The story of redemption and forgiveness is woven through-out this book and the characters are well formed. You'll find yourself intrigued and drawn in, if only to root for Shannon.

Just walked by this, and picked it up. Didn't know what to expect. Really enjoyable. A young woman, abducted when a Teen, seeks out a former Peace Officer, now a Private Detective, who has a similar story in life. A Network of secretive Kidnappers, across the Country. A certain twist, that keeps you searching for the answer, as her story slowly unfolds. Many facets to this story. Glad to see God was mentioned several times, as the characters, through very tumultuous, dangerous events, sought strength from Him. You will not want to put it down.

Dee Henderson does an excellent job in developing her masculine character: Matthew. His dialogue and thought progression throughout the story is nicely done. On the other hand, Dee's development of the feminine character is a little different. Shannon, the 'leading lady', is not as fully developed as Matthew for the reader. This seems to be done on purpose, so the reader will not guess the next steps she will take in the book. Besides the character development, Dee's plot is very nicely developed. The strong messages of redemption and forgiveness are entwined throughout the book beautifully. The ending was nice and satisfying, but I wish it could have been a little longer. After so much adventure, a little more normal would have been a nice breather. With that being said, I highly recommend this book! It's a great inspirational suspense novel with a meaningful message!

Feels like a continuing saga with Full Disclosure and Unspoken. I am surprised she didn't group them together in a series, since they flow together so well. Reminiscent scenes and characters from the other books, which I greatly appreciated!

"A young woman was sitting on the floor in the hallway outside his hotel room. She didn't rise when he drew near, just looked up at him. She looked...tired. And mildly curious. Her white shorts showed off long tanned legs, and the sandals revealed dainty feet with painted toenails. The contrasting pink top was remarkably sedate, blousy, and pretty. The look suited her and reminded him of his daughter. For that reason more than any other he simply offered a casual, 'Looking for me?' " (Henderson 6).
