Remake of the 1974 hot-rod film of the same name with more familiar stars like Cage, Ribisi, Jolie, Duval, Lindo and Olyphant. Did not care much for the lost-romance side story one bit that stretch the film to 2 hours. Nonetheless, a good Grand Theft Auto movie. Shall watch the 1974 version to compare.

It was O.K for a home TV movie. I was entertained and interesting. But it was NOT worth a long library wait or the price to rent from a Red Box.

Rather boring.

Several pages of quotes in IMbD:

The most unusual quote came near the end ... totally unexpected:
Poor Toby, man. Sure looks like he's in a lot of pain.
-If that's pain, you can shoot me anytime. Sexy, sexy.
The Sphinx: If his unpleasant wounding... has in some way enlightened the rest of you... as to the grim finish below the glossy veneer of criminal life... and inspired you to change your ways, then his injuries carry with it an inherent nobility and a supreme glory. We should all be so fortunate. You say, "Poor Toby." I say, "Poor us."
