Violence: Lots of violence. Not for kids 12 and under. If you do watch this movie, DO NOT stop in the middle. It has a happy ending and if you see that part it will be easier to sleep in the following night. :P
Frightening or Intense Scenes: For Children who are young, do not watch alone without an adult to be by your side. Monster are killed and some of war scene are shown. Young children please be discourage if you are under the age of 13

I don't think it did the book justice
Painfully slow. Looks good, and they seem to think thats all that matters.
Poor movie.
Creepy and satisfying, 'Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children' offers much for fans of the book. The actors involved were wonderful and the overall execution of the movie was very good. I recommend this movie to teens, because it *is* a little like a horror-fantasy flick, and even though it is appropriate for most tweens it can get scary and gruesome.
Samuel Jackson is so scary!
Overall, I give the movie 4-stars for story-line and intrigue of characters and their abilities. I will say though, that this movie was good for adults- and possibly older children/teens, the young kids said they wanted to watch it but gave up after the first few peculiar children were shown.

Super creepy. The monsters were terrifying. Don't watch at nighttime with kids. Like other Tim Burton movies, the design is beautiful and the story so-so.
Enjoyable spooky film. Lots of questions at the end. Kinda grossed out at times.
