Six hundred years ago England was torn apart by a series of bloody battles for the throne. England's most powerful families went to war against each other in a violent and deadly blood feud known as the Wars of the Roses. Across four episodes, acclaimed historian Dan Jones' unique storytelling is combined with high-end scripted drama to reveal the true story of the Wars of the Roses: a story of human frailties, rivalries, forced hands, and blind luck that drove England into decades of violence.

Excellent DVD about the Wars of the Roses hosted by historian Dan Jones. I believe he said in one of his books - fact is often more interesting than fiction. That is obvious in his recounting of the War of Roses - often bloody, brutal, corrupt and/or deceiving and that may be from your own extended family! He starts with Henry VI (Britain's worst king) and finishes with Henry VII who introduced the very influential Tudor dynasty. DVD is part historical reenactment, part Jones walking around talking. It is all very interesting never dull. Good viewing! He also has a DVD titled Britain's Bloodiest Dynasty about the English Plantagenet Kings which is also very good.
