I enjoyed Shadow Reaper much better than the first book of the series which was Shadow Rider. I felt like the first book did not have a strong or captivating storyline nor very captivating characters. This book however, has detailed and interesting characters who are relatable in the sense that they feel similar issues which regular people may feel. I also liked that there was a sense of equality between the main characters in this book, which the first book seemed to lack. The plot was much more intriguing, with a lot of suspense and mystery, one that left me actively trying to figure out who was the culprit or if there was more than one. I liked how the characters were brought to life with their individual traits and personalities, and whilst they were brought together by a common interest and past, they still were incredibly unique and new to each other, strengthening their bond even more. I really look forward to the next books in the series and hope that it keeps up with the captivating detail and well written plot lines.

Ricco Ferraro, is a billionaire playboy as well as one of the best shadow riders. He has just about given up on meeting a women who is meant for him and him alone. When he meets Mariko, their shadows are drawn together. They both have feelings for each other and have to figure out what to do about it. Someone is trying to kill Mariko and The Ferraro family. Ricco will do anything to protect Mariko and his family. When I first started this book, I almost wasn't going to finish it, but I am glad I kept on reading because it turned out to be a very good book.

Shibari (erotic rope art) was anew one for me to digest. Her books are always fascinating and again gave us something NEW to think about. She is one of my favorite authors and she did not let me down. Another fascinating story--also a bit of a thriller. You will enjoy this book.

Shadow Reaper --the 2nd book in the Shadow, or Shadow Riders series-- is a fun exciting read.
I love the Ferraro family, and find all of them to be interesting characters. It does show the Japanese art form, Shibari (rope art) which is -- to me--too dark, erotic and scary. I found I also greatly enjoyed the anti-hero, Val Saldis, of the Saldi Mob. A new French Shadow Rider family, the Archambaults, has been added to the story, and I hope that the could be in future stories of the great, new Shadow series, as I found them to be as interesting as the main characters, the Ferraro family.
