A horrible movie. Too many subplots, no consistent major plot, harsh scene cuts. I lasted 2 hours of the 2 1/2 and sent it back. I couldn't keep the multitude of various robots straight in my mind - is that a good guy or bad guy robot?
I did really enjoy Jim Carter's performance as the persnickety butler robot - he was very funny.
It really just started as an incoherent story with no direction. There was no back story or flashback as to why these things are happening or where the story was going. A mess at the beginning. I will say it had more direction than the first transformers movies. So in comparison, it wasn't horrible.
Long, but good. Never get tired of a childhood favorite.
I enjoy the Transformer movies and the theme of Autobots and humans working together to fight for good to overcome evil.
This film started out a little weak but “transformed” to be exciting and a worthwhile experience. Left me with a good feeling at the end.
Enjoyed Mark Walberg in this film and good to see the excellent Anthony Hopkins still entertaining us.
Bang bang. Boom boom. Oh yeah I'm a good guy. And so on. Bang bang, boom boom boring.
Incoherent and terrible. I enjoyed the first three (giant robots punch each other, simple and fun), but these last two are just a mess. I don't know what's going on, or why, or who's who, or WHY IS THIS MOVIE SO LONG?
AMAZING. loved the way quintessa smacked optimus and made him evil. My favorite part, is when bumblebee got his voice back. whoops. spoiled it. ^-^
Lots of eye candy but some really laughable performances by actors who should know better.
Awesomely horrible!!!
I came in knowing it would be a bad movie given reviews while this film was in the theater.
The good part: excellent production value and fairly decent cast. Slow-motion explotions Michael Bay style.
The bad part: Everything else. The transformers movies have always suffered from internal consistency problems for the overall story arc, with the occasional "I don't get it" moments. This one also suffers from bad direction, a poorly cobbled together story that suggests illicit drug use during the writing phase, random new characters, and baby dinobots. Having said all this, while I cannot give it a positive rating, it is still worth watching in a comedy of errors sort of way. Go watch, and tell your friends about how bad it was.
