Singer, Aretha Franklin (an 18-time Grammy award winner) was the very first female performer to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame back in 1987.

Born (1942) in Memphis, Tennessee - Franklin's powerful singing dynamics has understandably earned her the title of "Queen of Soul", going all the way back to the late 1960's.

Covering the musical genres of R&B, jazz, soul, and pop - Franklin's records have sold over 75 million copies, worldwide.

This "Best Of" CD contains 16 tracks in all which were recorded by Franklin (along with accompanying musicians) in the years from 1980-1998.
