Excellent series! Real people, playing real characters. Minimal blood and no guts. Only one "R" rated shot (about 10 sec) per episode. Each season is 3 discs with 3-4 episodes. It helps to know that in the U.K. these episodes are divided among a certain number of weeks and not viewed in its entirety in one show.
Jack Frost is my all-time favorite DI. He is a sharp witted, gritty and entertaining character.
The 'Jack Frost' series is a superior television presentation that has been a joy for many years. Unfortunately stars age and become too old for their parts. I recommend British detective programs to the over-violenced and over-sexed American programs such as CSI.
Love this series, good acting, great main character, excellent plots and solutions!
Old-school English police drama, the kind I love. The humour and charm of Detective Frost took a while to catch on for me, but by the third episode "Conclusions" I was hooked. Terrific, complicated plots with lots of twists that keep your interest.
