Hey! I'm your fella, Cinderella!

Believe it, or not, I was ("once-upon-a-time"), very much, madly in love with the Cinderella character in this excellent, animated motion picture. Yep. That's right. When I was just a very small tyke the sweet, singing Cinderella was one of my many-many movie-girlfriends.

With grace and charm, Cinderella beautifully spins this traditional story, delightfully adding some comic embellishments to the overall storyline, which include a couple of very cute, little mice named Gus and Jaq who befriend our poor, put-upon heroine.

In my very biased opinion, Cinderella (the movie) is, without question, one of Disney Studios' most enchanting and spellbinding, animated fairy tales of all. Cinderella is a timeless classic that, once it weaves its magic, is sure to live on in your heart forever.... Tra-la-la-la-la.

I saw the commercial on TV that Cinderella is out but they just made a new Diamond Edition a few years ago in 2012 and I have the book called My Side of the Story: Cinderella & Lady Tremaine. However, I got the book My Side of the Story: Peter Pan & Captain Hook first. The last book I got was My Side of the Story: Aurora & Maleficent and I got it on Thursday June 27.

It wasn't the first disney movie where the main character had a cute animal(s) sidekick, but it is the one that popularized it. The story is competently told, and by all means it IS a classic, but its message is a bit old fashioned and unrealistic.

Once Upon A Time... (In this under-appreciated Disney delight from 1950) - A pretty, young woman (who is continually berated and abused by her nasty stepmother and stepsisters) is given one fabulous night to finally fulfill her dreams (thanks to her kindly fairy godmother).

With grace and charm, Cinderella beautifully spins its traditional story, adding some priceless comic embellishments to the overall storyline. IMO - The mice characters in Cinderella are amongst the studio's best, and the story moves along at a fairly good clip.

Cinderella is definitely a fairy tale classic of wonder and joy which is in the same league as that of Pinocchio and Sleeping Beauty. Without a doubt - This animated triumph is sure to please the young and the young-at-heart.

This is hands down the best version of Cinderella out there. The music is beautiful. The acting is fantastic. It is star studded- Brandy, Whoopi Goldberg, Whitney Housten, Bernadette Peters, and even Jason Alexander. It is also the most racially diverse Cinderella you will ever see. Perfect for kids and adults a like, this movie will make for A Lovely Night.
Note- This movie features songs by Rodgers & Hammerstein, not the songs from the Disney version. It's okay though, because they are better. And also are sung by the whole cast.

Having only seen it in childhood, it was a little surprising to watch it again, surprising because it was so ridiculous and even immoral. Cinderella's family are extremely flat characters who have less presence than their cat, and their nastiness is an utter caricature and left unexplained. The main male character, the prince, is flatter than a pancake and falls in love after seeing and dancing with a woman once! (what message does that send to girls about men?) Worst of all is the main message, namely that hope begets magic which begets results; obviously false. The most enjoyable characters were the mice!

The movie “Cinderella” is a classic favourite. I must admit “Cinderella” was the first Disney movie I ever watched and ever since then, Cinderella is still my most favourite princess. I sometimes wonder if it will stay like that forever. The whole idea, imagination, and creativity amuse's me so much. Everything about this movie is amazing, but I only have one question regarding her glass slipper. If her glass slipper perfectly fits her, how did it fall off in the first place? I would rate this movie a 5/5 and I definitely recommend everyone to watch this movie or at least read the books. It is a classic favourite for a reason

"A dream is a wish your heart makes
When you're fast asleep.
In dreams you will lose your heartaches.
Whatever you wish for, you keep.
Have faith in your dreams, and someday
Your rainbow will come smiling through.
No matter how your heart is grieving,
If you keep on believing,
The dreams that you wish will come true."

"Silence! Time for vicious practical jokes. Perhaps we can put it to better use. Now let me see... There's the large carpet in the main hall; clean it! And the WINDOWS-upstairs and down-wash them! Oh yes, and the tapestries and the draperies-"
