A moving film following three story lines about connecting, loneliness, and forgiveness. One story follows a man who felt abandoned by his mother and her abusive second husband and injures himself because of a memory of enjoying a Christmas party in the emergency room when he was a teen. A second story follows a young man whose jealousy and short temper threatens his impending marriage, until he meets an older man who claims he is the older man's deceased family member. The third story follows a woman in her 40s who has spent her life caring for others, including her mother who is suffering from Alzheimer's. She meets an ex-priest whose greatest fear is dying alone. "Noel" gets a low 28% rating through Tomatoes, but I was quickly drawn into the characters and moved by the stories, which took unexpected turns. I recommend this! :-)
