Fans who have been howling for another chance to cheer for Jo Beth Sidden and her kennel of bloodhounds … can rejoice. -- Publishers Weekly. The perfect story to read while sitting on the porch rocker drinking sweet tea. -- Booklist. A dog trainer by profession, Jo Beth Sidden has known plenty of hardship -- and seen the law from both sides. She found the strength to flee an abusive marriage, only to be stalked by her ex-husband. When she shot him in self-defense, the guilty verdict in her trial gave birth to a new kind of terror. She owes her current freedom to a legal technicality. Now Jo Beth lives on the edge of the Okeefenokee Swamp, on call with her highly trained tracking dogs. As Jo Beth and her team cope with a couple of business-as-usual calls, Jo Beth also does some tracking on a personal matter: Someone she knows started a rumor that ended in three deaths, and Jo Beth intends to find out if the person was engaging in innocent gossip or planning a pre-meditated murder.

OH. MY. GOODNESS! This is the best one yet. Hard to write a review when everything I might say would require a spoiler alert. There's the sheriff, there is Bobbie Lee, there are the girls, there is a new man in town with the most beautiful eyes Jo Beth has ever seen, there is a murder-suicide. This one should only be read after the other books in the Bloodhound series--and it is a nail biter from page 5 to the very last page.
