Love this book! Definitely not for everyone, though. It's written in a very adult perspective, and the main character is naked half the time, so I rated it 15 and up.

Hmm, this series was originally done by Pike and named "The Last Vampire". I still have the complete original set from when I was a teenager (up to book 6) I didn't even know he continued the series in 2010 until now making books 7,8,9 - 13 years after book 6 which had ended the series. Now I am now going to have to have a look at the new books as well as this Thirst series. I am tempted to read the renamed series to see if there are any changes to the original story. I really liked it years ago and even pulled out the set last summer and read the 6 books again by the bonfire with a glass of wine. I still enjoyed it as I had when I was younger, except book 6, always had trouble staying into that one. By the look of it The Last Vampire was aimed at youth readers and Thirst has been visually modernized with the cover art and the size of the novels (combining several last vampire novels into one Thirst edition) to target an adult audience also. Very smart move on Pikes part.

I only read about 3 or 4 chapters of Thirst. And then I stopped. Sorry, but in my opinion, this book sucks. if you've read any good books, you'd know. First of all, Alisa is totally a Mary Sue. And that's not all. There's so much more. About her past and stuff... I don't recommend this.
