# The Complete Idiot's Guide to Statistics

Book - 2007
Like other science/math Complete Idiot's GuidesR, this book is aimed at high school and college students who need to take statistics to fulfill a degree requirement and follows a standard statistics curriculum. But because statistics is a mathematical topic taught to many nonmathematical people in a manner that often overwhelms them, the presentation of the material focuses on the concepts rather than the computations. Students learn the required math involved, but the focus is on interpreting final results as opposed to the details of the technique.

## Comment

Add a CommentIt's a really good book aside from what I think might be a few typos. The writer ussually uses examples that have personally happened to him.I like the clear way things are explained in this book. There are also parts that show you how to do statistics on a computer. Personally what might have interfered with my understanding of the material is my lack of knowledge on poker and gold, examples of which are brought up a few times. It does a really good job all the way to the very end of explaining things and making it easy to comprehend. In my opinion the last chapter on correlation and regression actually seemed a bit easier then the few before on hypothesis testing.
