I really liked this book.
After meeting Abigail and Jacob in the previous book I was excited for the second book to focus on them.
I loved reading about how Abigail struggled to let go of her worries about her future and really trust God, since that is something that I’ve struggled with.
I really loved how Linux little by little starts to change and how he comes to be a follower.
I was very hesitant about Abigail’s relationship with Stephen seeing as we all know his eventual fate, and I just really felt bad for Abigail. But even though I was originally hesitant I really loved how their relationship was so pure and how God was the basis behind their love and respect for one another. Even though I don’t know how I feel about the fact that in this book Stephen has a wife when the Bible never mentioned him having a family or if he just never married.
Though I have to be honest and say that I was kind of rooting for Linux and Abigail to eventually end up together.
I just loved the message of this book overall and how no matter what happens, we should always trust in God and never deny him, even till death.

Sadly- without reading the first book- LOVED the second, "The Hidden Flame." Definitely a great book to read.. especially liked how the authors put actually historical people into the story.... quite a twist!
