How can a few extra toys cause so much extra trouble?

Temina is excited about taking a trip on an airplane, and super-excited to include ALL of her toys and dolls on the trip as well.

Until mom says: "You can bring just ONE doll."

Impossible! How is she going to pick just ONE?

She hatches a top secret plan and sneaks more than one toy into the airport and onto the plane. While everyone around her gawks, Temina proudly displays her beloved companions.

Word spreads quickly to other children on the plane, who feel lonely without their own dolls. Temina is happy to lend out her treasures. The flight becomes a happy memory for Temina and her family, and even more so months later when her generosity is rewarded in the most surprising way!

Like Temina's dolls bursting out of her backback, this new story by Robert Munsch is bursting with humour and surprises at every turn, beautifully enhanced by the delightful artwork of Michael Martchenko!

I thought that Too Much Stuff was a cute, entertaining and engaging story! I felt that it was relatable, as many kids have a hard time deciding which toy that they want to bring with them. There was a lot of humour in this book, which makes it especially fun for kids to read. I liked the sense of adventure, and slight suspense, which led up to a kind and meaningful gesture. I think that this story is a great example for children, first of all to listen to their parents, but also to share with others. I would definitely recommend this book to other readers, in particular younger audiences, as it is truly a fun and enjoyable story. @PenelopeScriptor of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library

This book is about Temina and how she wants to take all her toys but her mom only allowed her to take 1 toy and 1 doll. She really didn't need all that stuff, but now she is going to show it if you read this book you will understand what I'm trying to say. This is a very kiddish book which makes it very cute and enjoyable. I really like this book because it is very adventurous and I like books that have a lot of suspense to it. This book is suitable for young readers, kids can always get annoying when it comes to what toys they can take and what toys they cannot take. I love this book and for that reason, I think you should borrow this book as soon as possible! Rating 3/5.

Great book (though not quite at the very top of my "favourite Munsch" list).

Temina wants to bring way way way too much stuff on a plane trip. Mom vetoes that plan. She sneaks most of it on anyway, winds up giving much of it away and is rewarded for her generosity.

Fun, silly, and wonderfully illustrated - as all of the Munsch/Martchenko books are!

I thought it was funny when Temina let the security officer x-ray her backpack. When he saw the x-ray he screamed and fell over. Other officers saw the x-ray and they too screamed and fell over!
