Sugar Cookie Murder

a Hannah Swensen Holiday Mystery With Recipes

Like the rest who read this, I was disappointed that the story was so short and that half the book consisted of recipes. I suppose that was to be expected, since the last novel featured Hannah gathering the recipes from her neighbors in Lake Eden, and this novel featured the making and sharing of the ones she collected. The mystery was decent, but not long enough. The death was of someone we didn't know and didn't care about. Hannah is still waffling between Mike and Norman, which gets ridiculously frustrating. I hope at some point she chooses (I'm rooting for Norman) because she can't keep them both on the hook forever. There was just enough here to get me excited about the next installment- I love Hannah's town, and her business, and even the antics of her cat, Moishe. I just wish that the cover indicated that a good portion of the book wasn't story.
