I always try to keep my comments positive, but on this novel, regretfully I am unable. The story line is very very light, which isn't a problem but I was disappointed in the sloppy edit details. There was one chapter that had two characters in a dialogue in a setting, then the very next sentence was two different characters, different day, different setting without even a paragraph break. I flipped the pages thinking I had missed something, but it was right in the middle of the page. Another time the main character "wrinkled her nose" and then two sentences later, she "wrinkled her nose". It didn't specify "again" so we are left to wonder why the author would not only use the same wording twice in one paragraph, but why the editor didn't catch and correct the error. I have read all of Susan Mallory's books and usually enjoy them, but I had to finally flip pages just to get to the end and sadly I didn't miss anything.
