Oh my goodness, this was such a sweet story! When Moon’s family moves to town, rumors begin to spread about Moon, where she came from, and what her family is like. Before you know it, Moon becomes Christine’s neighbor, and Christine is now forced to hang out with her. Without hesitation Moon invites Christine into her world, and becomes the friend Christine always needed. With all great relationships come hard times, and when those fall on Moon, Christine has to decide if she is going to be the friend Moon needs. What I loved about this book is how it shows how these young girls can overcome their differences and disagreements in a healthy way. Rarely are you going to find someone who is going to agree with you on everything, so I found this to be a refreshing read for young readers. It offers a realistic approach to friendship and how it can change over time.
