The worst piece of junk I've ever tried to watch. Crummy songs, tepidly staged dances. What exactly were the Browns famous for besides being rich? Debbie Reynolds, a gifted natural performer, is completely wrong in this sort of ersatz character part. This stodgy, tuneless musical must have already seemed wildly dated by 1964. Not because it's old-fashioned, but because there's no life or freshness in it. The Busby Berkley Depression-era musicals of the early 1930s have held up better than this corporate claptrap.
